Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado, is a former mining camp that thrived during the gold rush era. When the veins of the Emma and Smuggler mines ran dry, the village and its log cabins were abandoned, until Bernt Khulman, with a true passion for Far West ghost towns, bought it with a friend in 1994.
Patiently and artisanally, each cabin was restored to create a resort of luxurious simplicity.
Each of the 12 cabins and 2 tents hides a refined decor sourced from travels around the world.
The bathrooms and washrooms are supplied by the hot spring waters that gave the village its name, or the icy waters of the nearby stream.
