At the pace of canals and locks or simply staying at the dock or along towpaths, vacations aboard a barge are a source of relaxation and invite rest.
Rocked by the waves, these elegant barges open their cabins to us, transforming into comfortable studios, bed and breakfasts, or floating hotels. A wonderful way to (re)visit the beautiful regions of France while taking a break along the Canal du Midi, in the Rhône Valley from Lyon to Avignon, along the Seine, or even in Paris under the Eiffel Tower. The Grand Est also offers beautiful spots, such as in Metz or Dannemarie.
Already well-known in Amsterdam, these hotel boats or houseboats have inspired others in major European cities, such as Namur or Berlin, where barges welcome us right in the city center. What a pleasure to stay in the heart of a city you're exploring, to observe ducks and birds through the cabin porthole, to have breakfast while admiring the view from the rooftop terrace, and to enjoy the gentle sound of water lapping.
