This former Parisian couple embarked on the adventure in 1994 by taking over a barge called "gros numéro," a Freycinet barge built -with more than 630 others- in 1923 in Germany and offered to France as war compensation after 1914-18. This one had never been inhabited before but stored wine in its previous life. That was before the heavy -very heavy- renovations undertaken by these two enthusiasts.
Surrounded by vineyards and small hiking trails, the 40m barge is now transformed into a floating guesthouse, furnished with objects collected from around the world by its owners. A little bohemian, festive, and colorful.
To give you an ideal stay, the three cabins located at the front of the boat, all different, are cozy (flowers, bathrobes, mini hi-fi system, espresso machine, and mini bar) and have their own bathrooms.

A brunch breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., several terraces -one with a pool and jacuzzi- to lounge, read, dream, because here time stops, you settle in, take the time to live and admire nature.
