Unusual accommodation in the Val d'Oise
Presentation
Practical information
Along the Oise, following in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh.
What about going for a walk in the countryside?
A getaway to Auvers-sur-Oise, the little village where Pissaro, Cézanne, Renoir, and so many other plein air painters—later known as the Impressionists—once passed through, and which remains closely tied to Vincent Van Gogh. It is here, at the Auberge Ravoux (where his room can be visited), that he painted his last works.
Stroll through Auvers-sur-Oise on a beautiful day or follow the multimedia journey 'Voyage to the Time of the Impressionists' Chateau d'Auvers, and for the night, book a cabin on the Péniche Daphné's. A Freyssinet barge transformed since 2014 to host guests on board, for a night docked or to navigate towards Compiègne or Paris.
A destination in the Val d'Oise accessible by public transport, details in the Practical Information section.
✯ Open all year round ✯
