Gypsy caravan in Camargue
Presentation
Practical information
Celebrate Les Saintes in the caravan of the Saint-Antoine manade.
For over 40 years, the Saint-Antoine manade - named after the mas where the breeding began - has been raising bulls intended for the Camargue bullfighting.
In this atmosphere of equestrian and bull farming, Caroline and Alexandre are happy to reveal the Camargue landscape to you and welcome you to a very charming traditional wooden caravan decorated in Gypsy colors. Ideal for relaxing in peace or discovering the region's traditions.
In these pilgrimage lands, the most famous is that of the Saintes Marie de la Mer, which takes place immutably on May 24 and 25 each year with the participation of the Gypsies.
The waiting of Sara La Noire, the patron saint of the Gypsy community, for Mary Jacobé and Mary Salomé, the saints of the village, is celebrated. They are then carried in procession to the sea to be blessed, carried by the Gypsies, surrounded by the faithful, the Arlésiennes, and the guardians in traditional costumes.
To welcome you in good conditions throughout the year, a few liberties have been taken to ensure your comfort. Enjoy air conditioning and the lovely bathtub!
Like in a guestroom, breakfast will be served to you. Thanks to the kitchenette in the caravan or the barbecue on the terrace, you can have lunch or dinner on-site. Picnic baskets are also prepared on request.
