Magic-themed hotel
Presentation
Practical information
In this world of illusions, believe in the magic of a Parisian night.
If children are already dreaming as they pass by the small staircase leading to the Museum of Magic in the Marais, two enthusiasts have decided to make it the theme of their hotel.
A first in Paris!
Sandra and Jean-Michel Abecassis called upon the talented atmospherist Sandrine Alouf to take us into their worlds of playing cards, levitation, illusion, celestial magic, four themes featured throughout the 24 rooms.
With amusing details, custom-made furniture and materials, giant holograms as headboards, and automated lighting evoking zen, Wow!, or business atmospheres, our perceptions change as if by magic, leaving us to simply let ourselves be transported.
On the 6th floor, the three attic rooms 'A Trip to the Moon' (1902) pay tribute to the enchanting Georges Méliès, a pioneer in many fields, including special effects. In 1895, Antoine Lumière predicted his ruin if he persisted in being interested in cinematography; 17 years later, he had made 520 films, created the first film studio at his home in Montreuil, and shot the world's first science fiction film!
In the vaulted breakfast room, the illusion continues. A starry sky and dreamy lampshades, your day begins like no other.
Staging our reality, isn't that already magic?
