Stay in an old English bus
Presentation
Practical information
All the poetry of the English countryside with this double-decker bus transformed into a hotel.
After three decades of loyal service on the roads of Coventry, this double-decker bus narrowly escaped destruction. Adam Collier-Woods purchased this MCW Metrobus on Ebay, one of those seen in London, and undertook 6 months of work to transform it into a hotel. A restoration carried out with love and creativity by this British carpenter, who is also a bit of a surfer.
With its retro style, vibrant colors, and all the modern technology, The Big Green Bus is now enjoying a happy retirement in the English countryside of East Sussex, an hour from London or half an hour from the waves rolling along Brighton West Pier.
An oak floor on the first level where recycled bus seats have been turned into a green living room bench. A large custom-made kitchen, a wood-burning stove, and a guitar placed there for you, the atmosphere is cozy. Card games, books, or a skateboard (by Penny, please), it's up to you to choose based on your mood and desires.
On the upper deck, the carpet is thick. Three bedrooms accommodate groups of friends, up to six people (two double beds and two bunk beds).
Nature lovers are delighted by the 'glamping' site where this lovely green bus is parked, The Sussex House Party,
"a site for wilderness weddings, rural retreats and arty parties".
