The Grande Lauzade has been a family home since 1887. Corine and Thierry happily open their doors to you. They welcome you into their home with care and are delighted by the warmth that unites their guests as soon as they arrive in this house in the heart of the Var.
From the guesthouse... to the guest Bus.
While looking to expand the number of rooms, Thierry met the former owner of a "Starliner Flxible." This American bus began its service in 1963 as a line bus in Nevada before being converted into a camper van and then imported to France by Sony for the PlayStation 1 advertising campaign. It was love at first sight for Corine and Thierry, and this one-of-a-kind model imported into Europe found its place as a guest room in the garden of the house from March 2011 to February 2015.

Coming from its native Oregon, this authentic Crown-brand School Bus made its way to the Var by road and then by boat via Zeebrugge. A long journey followed by a masterful transformation by Corine and Thierry, who turned it into a guest room - the most unusual in the South! - while preserving as many original elements as possible. Onboard, there is a double bedroom, a bathroom with a bathtub, a lounge area, a sofa, and two small benches (160 cm) for children over 10 to sleep on.
By sleeping aboard this Crown SuperCoach, guests have access to the same services as those staying in the house (indoor pool at 29°C all year round or outdoor heated pool in season, gym, sauna, billiards room) and can also enjoy the private terrace and jacuzzi.
Breakfast is served on the terrace in the shade of plane trees or in the house's kitchen, depending on the season. You can already hear the cicadas!
