Youth hostel in Paris
Presentation
Practical information
A friendly and stylish universe with affordable beds to have fun in Paris from 7 to 77 years old.
Visit an exhibition, go shopping, enjoy a romantic getaway, or spend a few days exploring the city with your family—Paris is a popular destination where finding affordable accommodations is... tricky!
That's a thing of the past since the opening at Place du Colonel Fabien (10th arrondissement)—right across from the Communist Party headquarters—of the first Generator Paris establishment in France.
After London, Venice, Berlin, Copenhagen, Hamburg, or Barcelona, Paris has now joined the wave of next-generation youth hostels.
Between the high-end designer dormitories (four, six, eight, or ten beds, and dorms reserved for women), the shared rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and the Deluxe double rooms with terrace and views of Sacré-Cœur, the range is vast, offering 918 beds in 198 rooms for 18-25-year-olds, families, and business clients (media, high-tech, etc.) who already rave about the Generator establishments in Hamburg, Berlin, and Barcelona.
On the mezzanine, there's a lounge with Moroccan-inspired decor, and in the basement, the Café Fabien, adorned with the iconic Parisian metro tiles and flea-market-sourced lamps. It's a gathering spot for breakfast or evening drinks when it transforms into a music bar (200 seats). Notably, it hosts DJs on weekends until 2 a.m. No worries, though—the café being in the basement ensures that early sleepers can rest peacefully.
And the next day, what better than a walk to unwind in the nearby Parc des Buttes Chaumont—a favorite among Parisians—or along the Canal Saint-Martin? Sipping coffee and watching boats navigate the locks is a great option too!
