Rather urban, this new concept of friendly, trendy, and affordable youth hostels reaches ski resorts with the opening since late 2016 of Moontain Hostels Oz at Oz.
A first that delights passing guests in this small village where the center is reserved for pedestrians or skiers. Surrounded by fir trees, this ski resort well-known to the people of Grenoble who reach it in less than an hour is the gateway to the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine ski area and its 250 km of slopes.
Without venturing so far, the Oz/Vaujany ski area already offers 30 ski slopes to live great experiences.
In the mountains, perhaps more than elsewhere, all kinds of people meet: globe-trotters, families, couples, groups of friends, solo adventurers, nature lovers. And because we don't all share the same ideas of a successful stay, Christian and Sandie Salomon, the designers and owners, offer everyone the chance to build their stay according to their desires. On the menu, a room, from a shared dormitory to an ultra-comfortable double room with a balcony and private bathroom, tailored services, and meals highlighting local producers in a cosy and friendly atmosphere that encourages interactions between guests around the bar, the crackling fireplace, or the dining areas.
If another argument were needed, you can end your day skiing right to the hostel's doorstep (200m from the Poutran cable car and 30m from the Clos du Pré lift)!
