Sleeping in a floating hotel in Paris
Presentation
Practical information
Exclusive view of the Seine.
In this district of the 13th arrondissement undergoing transformation, the former docks have turned the page, and Parisian nights come alive on the now very trendy Quai d'Austerlitz.
Since June 2016, OFF Paris Seine has docked on this quay, between Gare de Lyon and Gare d'Austerlitz. This nearly 80m-long catamaran, built in Normandy and transported via the Seine, is now a 3-star establishment managed by Elegancia Hotel: 54 rooms and 4 suites, including the Horizon Suite at the bow of the boat.
Gérard Ronzatti, the designer of this unique hotel, wanted to tell the story of Paris, its zinc rooftops, and its two banks. The hotel is traversed by a photogenic pool just as Paris is traversed by the Seine, and the boat's two hulls represent the two banks of the river connected by a glass-covered walkway.
Starting at 5 PM behind the large bay windows, the "Bar Food" opens its doors to the public. Guests can share tapas, cocktails, or bistro dishes until 1 AM. Another highlight... breakfast is served until noon.
Quai d'Austerlitz
Les Docks - Cité de la Mode et du Design and its club-restaurants Wanderlust, Nüba, Grand Rivage, and Moon Roof, or the more electro Nuits Fauves, when we tell you this quay is buzzing...
To relax more peacefully, day or night, enjoy the views of the Seine, or organize an event, head to the Jardin Sauvage. A new restaurant-bar venue with terraces and a pool aboard a barge, still on Quai d'Austerlitz!
