What is a Bikini Haus? A building from the '55s nicknamed this way by Berliners because of its 3rd open floor composed of columns giving the impression of a bikini. The 3rd floor was closed 20 years later to become an exhibition space.
It is in this building that 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin chose to open its Berlin hotel with quirky and colorful decor where raw concrete, neon writings, and graffiti blend with hanging plants and green walls to surprise us. For the designers of the Aisslinger studio, the hotel must be as mixed and wild as Berlin itself.
Details matter to Ardi Goldman, Stephan Gerhard, Kai Hollmann, and Christoph Hoffmann, the quartet at the helm of the hotel group.
The bathrooms are tiled in black, the lights are adjustable, the furniture is colorful, and while the rooms might be slightly disorienting, they are very fun. For some of them, the view plunges into the zoo thanks to the large bay windows.
You’ll find this surprising view of the city and the park from the Monkey Bar or the Néni restaurant located on the rooftop terrace of the 10th floor.
A favorite for the executive 'Jungle L' rooms where a hammock and a Schindelhauer bike (the German must-have!) await you. For everyone else, the hotel concierge will pull down a bike from the lobby ceiling... or hand you the keys to the Mini Cooper that the hotel lends to you for free.
