Troglodyte lodge in Andalusia
Presentation
Practical information
Mineral refuge in Andalusian lands
Destination adventure and the south of the Iberian Peninsula following in the footsteps of Laurence and Christian, who left France to pursue their passion for travel and off-road vehicles. After a journey of four months and... 17,000 km, it is here, in Andalusian lands, that they chose to settle.
Away from the axis connecting Murcia to Granada, precisely in the heights of Benamaurel, the couple transformed three troglodyte houses (cuevas) into holiday homes. The province of Granada is the historical cradle of these dwellings dug into clay cliffs, remnants of the Moors' presence on these lands.
Next to these holiday homes as charming as they are eco-friendly and the saltwater pool, a luxurious base camp awaits adventurers transiting between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean or between the African and European continents. Having experienced nomadic life aboard their Toyota, Laurence and Christian thought of fellow travelers, backpackers, or motorcyclists passing through, by setting up the 'Coin des Baroudeurs' around which to recharge between bivouacs. From the large table to the cozy lounge, everything is there: barbecue, sanitary facilities, washing machine, and even access to Christian's workshop to take care of beautiful mechanics.
You get the idea, these accommodations promise peace and a stable temperature around 20° all year round, but your hosts will also welcome you with genuine kindness and, if you feel like it, with the conviviality worthy of Andalusian hospitality!
