Arty Hotel in Paris
Presentation
Practical information
Contemporary art is celebrated at Hotel Gaston.
In the 17th arrondissement of Paris, the Pavillon Pereire has given way to the Gaston. This 3-star hotel holds many surprises: from floor to ceiling, you can admire street art works created specifically for the occasion.
Gaston is a rarity.
This small Parisian hotel reopened its doors in 2014 after a complete renovation. But the owners were keen to preserve the spirit of the place intact. At Gaston, no pretenses.
Behind its quiet façade at 51 boulevard Pereire, the hotel keeps its secrets well. Inside, you’ll discover a true street art gallery. Anamorphoses, photo collages, large naive frescos—the works are signed by the Parisian collective Splendens Factory.
The pop and trendy touch of the decor offers a delightful contrast with the surrounding neighborhood. The typical Haussmann classicism of the arrondissement, the quiet charm of Parc Monceau will appeal to travelers; to visit some business salons, businesspeople will prefer the austere modernity of the Palais des Congrès, located just a stone's throw away. Wherever they go, both will be happy to return quickly to stay at Gaston: a constant experimental ground for artists Irina Volkonski, Tysra, or Shane, the place is never the same twice.
