Unusual night at the top of a port crane
Presentation
Practical information
Take height in a steel giant.
The Havenkraan crane hotel stands out with a single room offering an incredible view. Overlooking the port of Harlingen, in the Netherlands, 17 meters above sea level, the "Blue Head" – the nickname of this crane cabin transformed into a high-tech living space – encourages taking a step back.
The 60 m2 of the engine room have been converted into a comfortable room with a bathroom. Still feel like changing the orientation of the bed? By climbing a small ladder, you can access the former crane operator's cabin. With a simple hand gesture, you can rotate the 56,000 kilos of steel. Child’s play.
