Charming guesthouse in Aveyron
Presentation
Practical information
Family home atmosphere under the Aveyron sun.
The small Aveyronnais village of Sévérac-le-Château is home to a unique guesthouse. At La Singulière, the charm of the old beams contributes to the allure of a perfectly tasteful interior.
The exposed beams, the floor polished by time, and the solid wood dining table are a testament to the historic character of La Singulière. But to breathe an indispensable breath of life into this venerable home, it required the meeting of two artistic sensibilities: those of Sophie and Hervé, respectively a scenographer and a photographer.
A clever mix of family treasures and thrifted trinkets gives each room of La Singulière the feel of an ideal home. At the table, organic products take center stage. Sophie makes her own jams: they will awaken your taste buds at breakfast time.
At the top of the hill overlooking the village, the Château de Sévérac will delight history enthusiasts. More of an artist at heart? Set out to discover the stained glass windows of the Conques abbey, decorated by the famous painter Pierre Soulages. As for sports enthusiasts, they can get their fill of thrills by canoeing down the stunning Tarn gorges.
