Unusual and charming hotel in Périgord
Presentation
Practical information
Bucolic stopover in this authentic 17th-century mill of the Périgord.
At the north of Dordogne, nestled in Champagnac de Bélair, this 17th-century mill awaits you for a bucolic and timeless getaway.
Built on the Dronne, the river that runs through its park, this mill was producing flour and walnut oil until the 1950s.
Patiently restored, the mill saw the opening of a bar and then a restaurant in 1969, before the first rooms welcomed travelers. Today, the 15 rooms and suites are spread across the three parts of the mill, connected by walkways, terraces, and stairs.
All the rooms of this 4* establishment are unique, charmingly furnished, and comfortable. From your window, you might be lucky enough to spot a beaver at work in the one-hectare park.
To perfect this poetic stop, this is where you'll find one of the best dining experiences in Périgord thanks to Chef Alain Gardillou, a Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant since 1979, and a wine cellar with over 900 references.
Gastronomic pleasure, cultural richness, lush landscapes, the Périgord Vert invites relaxation and a change of scenery!
