Sleeping in a mill in Burgundy
Presentation
Practical information
Rural stopover in the Morvan natural park.
A journey through the lands of Burgundy is a journey through splendid landscapes and a journey through time. We dive back into history lessons as we visit sites and take a break on the holiday route.
Just a few minutes from Avallon, at the entrance of the village of Pontaubert, the Moulin des Templiers awaits us, whose origins date back to the 12th century. The Huguenots are said to have burned the small chapel and the mill in 1569. Before being transformed into an inn in 1925, it is said to have also crushed ice blocks, but today its buildings covered with Burgundy tiles house 14 rooms.
Guest table in the old mill or organic and gourmet breakfast on the riverside terrace, we linger happily over fresh and regional products in this lovely corner of the Morvan, a paradise for fly fishers, cycling tourists, and horse riders.
..:: New ::.. Wellness and spa area with a sauna made of volcanic hot stones, a hot tub under the stars, and a eucalyptus-scented hammam ♥ ::.
✯ Closed from the end of November to mid-February ✯
