Unusual accommodations in Pays Auxois
Presentation
Practical information
Along the seasons, on the Canal de Bourgogne.
At 1h from Auxerre, Beaune or Dijon, the Canal de Bourgogne is coming back to life with lovely ecological projects like that of Les Lodges du Canal de Bourgogne. Halfway between Lyon and Paris, a freshly renovated lock house, its charming "toue cabanée", its large treehouse or its Tiny House are invitations for a comforting stop on the vacation route (15 minutes from exit no 23 of the A6 motorway) or to stroll for a weekend and enjoy the charms of Burgundy through the seasons.
Sandrine and Cathy have chosen this charming setting in the Marigny valley to open their unusual and very comfortable guest rooms. A must for relaxing, all offer a private Finnish bath heated with wood, except for the lock house which has yet to find the charming shelter to protect it.
The lock houses, precisely, used to house the Canal staff, and the plan for this one dates back to 1811. Today, behind its white facade with blue shutters, it accommodates up to 6 people to live by the water.
Built by Kairos Chambord with an ecological and sustainable approach, the toue cabanée was launched in spring. With its private Nordic bath on the pontoon, it delights its guests who come as a couple or with family, thrilled to be lulled by the canal.
The three treehouses with their private Nordic bath perched 4m high are enjoyed as a couple or with family like a real little house. Accessible to all and to children, as they are reached by stairs.
The Tiny House is the latest addition; designed as a clever little house (tiny house in English), it is full of ideas to optimize space. And in its garden, the private Nordic bath is ready for optimal relaxation.
..:: New for 2020 ::.. Opening of two new treehouses, also equipped with their own Nordic bath
