Take to the heights and marvel at the woods Galants: four unique nests built by an enthusiast.
Xavier Malapert dreamed of the countryside, old stones, and cabins, and it was in Saint-Verain in Puisaye, in this corner of the Nièvre that he has loved for a long time, that he settled and opened the first two cabins in the summer of 2013.
The third followed in the spring of 2015.
Trained in Arts Déco, industrial designer and graphic designer by profession, Xavier imagined and designed each of these three absolutely unique nests. To bring them to life, he surrounded himself with a "dream team" including Nicolas and Mapuche, two young passionate carpenters based in the region, Atelier de l'Etang, and Bertrand, a tree climbing specialist and forester. A great collective energy that Xavier shared step by step in the logbook of the Domaine des Galants.
The very first realization of this adventure, a wooden cube suspended by cables over 6m above the ground. Painted a red hue based on Puisaye ochres, extracted from a nearby quarry, this cabin is most notably tilted!! The Nid Penché is shared by two, and as everything is above all a question of perception, everyone will find their horizon once inside.
Anchored to a 300-year-old oak tree in the Galants woods, the Nid Sphère is a spherical cabin covered with wood shingles. A cabin to wake up above the meadow as a couple or with family, with 2 children sleeping in the mezzanine to dream even closer to the stars.
Above the pond, among frogs and ducks, two cabins nestled together form the Nid sur l’Eau, a cabin with two distinct spaces. A domain for adults and a world dedicated to children with its two bunk beds (4 beds). Your weekend will undoubtedly be lively and the cheerful gang of kids delighted!
The latest cabin to join this charming and elegant domain, the cabin Nuit sous les Etoiles, made entirely of glass and wood, is perched 6m up in an oak tree.
The promise of the Domaine des Galants is to offer us magical nights in the heart of nature; thanks to these cozy, isolated, and well-heated nests, our nights will amaze us in every season.

All the nests are heated and equipped with dry toilets.
In the barn, each accommodation has its own shower room and conventional toilets.
