Stay under the stars in a former fire truck
Presentation
Practical information
The Beer Moth, unmatched, will poeticize your countryside outings.
The Cairngorms National Park, home to one of Scotland's most beautiful regions, the Spey River valley. In this splendid setting of ancient pine forests, clearings, and ponds, a unique wildlife hides - ospreys, Scottish Crossbill, lively and agile red squirrels, hares, or deer - and our true favorite, The Beer Moth.
A vintage 1956 Commer Q4 truck, discovered in a Kent fire museum and completely renovated by Walter, its owner. From its past, only a Fire Service in red letters remains.
To turn it into an unmatched guest room, Walter used ingenuity and thrift. An oak wood floor, a memory of a Tudor manor, an old wood-burning stove salvaged, as well as the wooden door from a nearby farm, and as stairs, a firefighter's ladder.
Not forgetting the club chair and the Victorian double barred bed that give it its unique style.
Before you go out to explore nature and meditate on the shores of Loch an Eilein, try to translate this slang expression, The Beer Moth.
