Unusual accommodation in Provence

Practical information
In this forest that smells so good of nature and regained serenity, the journey is also sensory. Let us take you there !
Heading to the Marseille hinterland to continue writing the history of this forest, a story initiated by travel and nature enthusiasts who planted a tree each time they returned home - they even managed to grow a coconut tree in a barrel on their sailboat deck! During the Second World War, the land served as a shelter for resistance fighters, and of course, birds and game were hunted there at all times. Today, the trees have grown significantly, and their intact diversity is breathtaking: Atlas cedar, Sapo pine, umbrella pine, black pine, maritime pine, Aleppo pine, Douglas fir, Montpellier maple, strawberry tree, white oak, holm oak, yew, lime tree, Arizona blue cypress, cade juniper... the list is loooong, yes!
When Floriane, whose unconventional journey began as a nurse serving with mountain troops in Gap, and her husband Sylvain decided to settle permanently in this magnificent forest on the southern slope of Sainte-Baume, on land they had purchased a few years earlier, they revived the age-old stones and continued the tradition by planting hackberry, fig, olive, medlar, myrtle, chestnut, and quince trees in turn.
In this refuge for birds and wild animals, we are also invited to marvel at the preserved richness of this Provençal forest. Bulles des Bois truly lives up to its name, and these five superb crystal-clear bubbles, as transparent as they are secluded, are idyllic observation posts to spot a fleeting deer or a pretty green woodpecker carving its nest.
From its terrace elevated a few meters, La Bienveillante overlooks nature. Surrounded by dense vegetation and white rocks, L'Amoureuse completely charms us with its outdoor bathtub made from Balinese volcanic stone. Or perhaps it’s La Calîne with the very intimate ambiance evoked by the large oak tree that shelters it, or maybe L'Essentielle and its bathtub at the foot of a centuries-old cedar. Let the inspiration of the moment choose for us ツ
✯ Open from mid-February to late November ✯
