In a tender-grass orchard 45 minutes from Rennes and Laval, two funny wooden cabins take on the appearance of hobbit houses. Semi-buried and with their green roofs, they have been designed with absolute respect for nature: wood and 100% natural materials, raw earth walls to accumulate solar heat, autonomous and ecological wastewater treatment, photovoltaic solar electricity production, etc.

Smiling Hélène traveled - a lot! - after studying in the tourism sector, while her husband Etienne is a specialist in renewable energies. Needless to say, sustainable tourism is the cornerstone of their aptly named ecolodge, Ecolodge La Belle Verte (awarded as early as 2014 with the sustainable tourism trophy).

On-site, we can choose between the cabin under the apple trees or the cabin in the meadow, two little houses that exude detox and relaxation. Add to that the joy of self-care with an donkey milk bath scented with orange blossom, a massage, a yoga session, or the Nordic bath heated by wood fire (open year-round) set in the centenary orchard, and it's easy to understand why Hélène's guests love to return to this beautiful Breton countryside.

Children will be delighted to feed the animals on the mini-farm, explore the blooming fallow land and the vegetable garden. And among the nature workshops organized on-site by local actors: butterfly hunting, percussion, dancing, yoga.

Each of the 2 ecolodges offers a private garden and terrace with a barbecue, a kitchen, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, and separate composting toilets. Hi-fi system, books, board games, Wi-Fi connection, parking space.

Hélène takes care of you: Upon your arrival, the beds are made, the refrigerator can be stocked (upon request), and Hélène even offers to pick you up at the Vitré train station if you choose the train as your mode of transport.
