A room with 1,000 mirrors for 1,000 nights, a temporary installation
This work, named "to live", is an experience to stay for one night in the center of Paris, just behind the Café La Perle, the bustling institution of the neighborhood.
Rest assured, there is no innuendo behind La Kiss Room. Simply Kiss for Mathias Kiss, a versatile artist who works in various fields and has been reflecting on the codes of living spaces for 10 years.
Designed as a "box" covered with 1,000 mirrors, this room reflects its visitor and questions their place in space and architecture.
Mirrors from floor to ceiling, even covering the intentionally austere furniture, pixelate the space. The only visible elements are identified by the use of three primary colors.
A path of the Fiac 2013 allowed a knowledgeable public to discover this place as a preview, and there is no doubt that contemporary art lovers and couples will appreciate the experience, accompanied by atmospheric music created by Nicolas Godin from the band Air.
