Unusual night in Loire-Atlantique
Presentation
Practical information
Belvedere on the night in Loire-Atlantique. Ephemeral night !
The Imaginary Nights of Terre d'Estuaire have been, since 2013, an unmissable event to enjoy a true space-time getaway for two. And to experience an adventure close to home.
These unique and temporary accommodations offer each year the opportunity to discover exceptional places along the Loire, on its north and south banks, between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire. After the beautiful transparent bubbles of previous years, Loirestua selected for the 2017 edition two of the seven projects imagined by the master's students of "Architecture in Representation" from the National School of Architecture of Nantes (Ensa): Le Caballon de M. Plocq and La Bienveilleuse.
La Bienveilleuse (designed by Camille Aubourg, Margaux Dervaux, and Cécile Dumont) settled on the heath of the marshes in the picturesque village of Lavau-sur-Loire, a remarkable site between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire. From the rooftop terrace of La Bienveilleuse, one can discreetly observe daytime life and watch over the southern shore landscapes that unfold on the horizon and the work Estuaire by Tadashi Kawamata located a few steps away.
At nightfall, the magic works even more, and this singular wooden and polycarbonate lantern gently lights up, watching over our nights.
✯ Open from mid-May to mid-October ✯
