Escape to Ronquières for a stay on the water.
Close to Brussels, Charleroi, Mons, La Louvière, France, and Flanders, Ronquières is the perfect destination to explore the region of the small Ardennes.
Visitors come here, of course, at the beginning of August, when the Ronquières Festival is in full swing, but also throughout the year, especially for its walk starting from the Ronquières Tower towards the large Ittre lock and the visit to the impressive inclined plane.
How about extending this day by the water with a short stay on a boat?
Between its summer trips to the Belgian coast, the Péniche Recta moors in Ronquières. It used to transport coal until the early 1980s but was gradually converted into a residence by its successive owners. 2011 marked a turning point, as Recta underwent a makeover, and this large and beautiful barge now offers three cabins, double or family, with large bay windows.
On the deck, two terraces to enjoy the view and the passing time, as well as bicycles at your disposal.
