Eco Resort Reserva Alecrim

Glamping on the Alentejo Coast

Presentation Practical information
Between sea and nature, a glamping under the stars.

Between Comporta and Costa Vicentina, geodesic domes, lodge tents, and eco-suite cabins await us for an eco-friendly stay amidst the lagoons and hills of Alentejo and the Atlantic.
Here, you enter an open reserve, dotted with pine trees, cork oaks, olive trees, and rosemary-scented clearings, taking the time to breathe. The wind carries the scent of salt and resin, and the calm lagoons already reflect the sky. At Eco Resort Reserva Alecrim, the landscape invites us to stay.
This glamping concept integrates lightweight structures, wooden volumes, translucent domes, or tents that allow air and light to flow freely into the local terrain and vegetation. We get to choose how we want to stay in nature: panoramic domes to admire the sky, safari-style tents to reconnect with canvas and wood, stilt bungalows to rise above the ground, eco-suites with subtle comfort, or private villas by the water.
The white domes are sanctuaries for dreaming, with the curve of the structure guiding the gaze to the first stars. From sunrise to sunset, you experience transparency as a unique comfort. The domes range in size and can accommodate 2 to 6 people.
Elevated, the all-wood bungalow offers a view of the valley, with glimpses of the sea in the distance in some places. This height lightens the spirit; you listen to the birds and feel the breeze passing through the terrace. Inside, minimalist design organizes the spaces and strategically placed storage, like a nook for setting down a book.
In an eco-suite, you'll find reassuring features: generous bedding, a well-designed bathroom, a kitchenette for simple meals, and proper insulation for mid-season stays. Depending on the layout, a stove or regular heating system prolongs evening conversations. You'll also appreciate the soft lighting, smooth circulation, and acoustics that preserve tranquility. Essentially, it's a modestly equipped vacation home.
By the lake, the terrace of the Casa do Lago is nearly at water level. You can observe dragonflies and water birds, try the paddleboard, and effortlessly switch between reading and contemplation. Combined with the intimacy of a well-designed interior, this is a gentle way to find rest.
For a taste of simple luxury, the lodge tent: a deep porch, a large table, wooden floors, and sturdy yet warm fabrics. You can dine under the moonlight while giving children their dedicated space: the spirit of adventure with the comfort!
In summer, you can alternate between swimming in the infinity pool overlooking the valley, the biological pool blending into the landscape, or the natural lake, and excursions to the beaches of Sines or Melides. During the mid-seasons, the heated dome pool, walks, and treatments are more appealing: sauna, jacuzzi, massages to relieve tension, and yoga sessions. Blankets are always within reach to extend evenings outdoors.
Meet at the sunset lounge to share a drink, or enjoy a table inspired by Portuguese recipes on the large wooden terrace of the Reserve's table. The dishes, inspired by Portugal, are prepared with local ingredients, but you'll also find wood-fired pizzas and a selection of regional wines. Attentive service and a relaxed pace complete the evenings perfectly.
The surroundings are inviting: walk or ride an electric bike through vineyards, indulge in a private wine tasting of Alentejo wines at a nearby estate, stop by the castle of Santiago do Cacém, visit the maritime museum in Sines, observe the night sky through a telescope, or follow a guide on a nature outing to discover local flora and fauna.
Upon leaving Eco Resort Reserva Alecrim, you take away the promise of the place: calming images, renewed energy, understated elegance, sincere friendliness, and immediate, respected nature. It's glamping that cares for this generous land.
Note: accommodations are without TVs, but books and games are available to replace screens. Wi-Fi is available in some areas, with a deliberate choice of disconnection in others, and mobile coverage is generally sufficient outdoors. Thoughtful options include a locavore basket delivered to your accommodation, dinner on the restaurant terrace, or shared pizza at the bar, private yoga sessions or couples’ massages, and nature outings with a guide to observe lagoon wildlife, electric bike rides, or workshops on Alentejo wines. Plenty of ways to shape a stay to your liking.
A place to visit for a curated getaway, whether as a couple, with family, or friends, with the desire to return when the call of water, sky, and wood is heard again.
