Fashion! Hotel rooms dressed as if they were models. These 61 rooms, ranging from 1 to 5 stars, each have their own style. This innovative idea of combining fashion and architecture comes from Suzanne Oxenaar and Otto Nan, who are also involved in the project of the Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy.
They entrusted the creation of the designs to young artists, all former students of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, in collaboration with the Textile Museum in Tilburg, which created specific fabrics to meet the needs of this project. The result is unique and amusing, like this room where you lift a giant crinoline to sleep under Marie Antoinette's skirts.
The Exchange Hotel opened in 2011 on one of Amsterdam's main thoroughfares. The Damrak, which connects Dam Square to the central station, is one of the city's liveliest avenues. What more could you ask for!
