Unusual youth hostel in Brussels
Presentation
Practical information
Sleeping car atmosphere on the rooftops of Brussels.
Just steps away from the brand-new TrainWorld museum, stop by Schaerbeek station to reach the Train Hostel. This brand-new hostel recreates the exhilarating atmosphere of a time when Europe was crossed by train.
Nicolas Kervyne wanted "to shake up the hospitality world," combining comfort and quality at reasonable prices. The Train Hostel achieves just that.
In this Brussels hostel straight out of a Jules Verne dream, two authentic sleeping cars are integrated into the architecture of this extraordinary building, one of the oldest and most original stations in Belgium. Not long ago, these metal giants, the ultimate refuge for weary explorers, traveled across Europe. Now, their berths welcome travelers exploring the Belgian capital for a weekend.
The design and layout of the premises are the work of designer François Schuiten.
This architecture and machine enthusiast has given the rooms at the Train Hostel a unique patina, made of old wood and brushed metal. Adjacent to the hotel, Schaerbeek station houses Train World, a museum entirely dedicated to the world of rail. There, you can discover the full extent of the artist's genius, once again in charge of the scenography.
✯ Open all year round ✯
2020: Temporary closure of the Train Hostel
