Bivouac Nature

Glamping in the Cévennes

Presentation Practical information
Beautiful getaway in the south of the Cévennes.

In the Cévennes, 1 hour from Montpellier, Bivouac Nature offers us the unique experience of staying in the wilderness with all the comfort. And we gladly admit it, we do like comfort... even in the great outdoors.

Sharing a feeling of total freedom through an eco-responsible bivouac, in a region rich in childhood memories, was indeed the wish of Johan Grassin when he created this structure (opened in 2014). A lover of his region and nature, he installed 15 canvas and wood tents in the heart of a chestnut grove naturally oriented towards sustainable tourism: protected nature, dismantlable tents made from wood sourced from French forests, real mattresses, hot water, a bathroom area, another dedicated to cooking, gas barbecues, wood stoves, and solar lighting.

At the Bivouac, you stay, learn a lot about nature thanks to the on-site animators, go swimming in the river or go for a walk: discovering must-sees such as the Gardons Valley with the Cévennes Steam Train, the Bambouseraie of Anduze, the Trabuc Cave as well as a multitude of guided sports outings -canyoning, donkey rides, caving-, a weekend won't be enough, that's for sure.

Living the experience of a bivouac under a comfortable tent in the heart of a 30-hectare private forest is also about sharing simple, friendly moments and creating lovely memories accompanied by the song of cicadas. And that's essential!
