As in a fairy tale, the images of this treehouse seem to come straight out of a book. That of Alain Laurens 'Vivons perchés' which Sylvain received as a gift one Christmas Eve. While leafing through it with his son Nicolas, the two immediately envisioned building a treehouse together, and the perfect spot was already found: it would be in a three-hundred-year-old oak tree in their family garden.
After calculations and many hours of work, the Cabane Perchée du Charron (named after the hamlet) opened in the spring of 2015. They even installed an electric -and certified- elevator to reach the first floor!
To sleep in this cozy treehouse built 9m above the ground, you need to head to Loire Atlantique, halfway between Nantes and Pornic on the southern banks of the Loire.
