Unusual accommodation in the Lille region
Presentation
Practical information
Stationary journey on the banks of the Deûle.
Escape in the Lille metropolitan area, in Wambrechies on the edge of the Deûle. This is where Stéphane and Odile, two great travel enthusiasts, envisioned as early as 2010 an unusual campsite where one can dream under a yurt, in caravans, or a Texan Airstream—a famous, gleaming American trailer.
Always ready to surprise us, they have added to their collection of unexpected accommodations a maritime container and a London double-decker bus, bright red as it should be.
Whatever captures our heart, comfort is guaranteed. Large tribes (6 people max) will book the English bus, while the other accommodations will prove to be true nests for lovers.
Want to take a stroll to explore the area? Nothing is more festive than taking the tourist line of Amitram, which leads to the village of Wambrechies. The trams that once ran between Lille - Roubaix - Tourcoing follow the Deûle from Pont Mabile to Ferme Saint Chrysole, its terminus. 3 km of retro charm walk. Once in the village, a little detour to the Museum of Antique Toys guarantees fun and memories for all ages, with porcelain dolls, 1960s Barbies, and other colorful trucks. Of course, one last visit is a must, the famous Wambrechies distillery.
Just a few minutes from Lille and Belgium, let's take a break at Deule Insolite, step into another world, the world of stationary travel that encourages us to take our time, like the barges that pass at the end of the garden and let us hear their humming.
✯ Open all year round ✯
