Unusual accommodation in Savoie

Practical information
Barrel, yurt or perched hut... 3 unusual accommodations with a view of the Bauges massif.
At the foot of the Bauges massif, a few kilometers from Albertville, Viviane and Patrick have created unusual accommodations to complement their gîtes and guest rooms at the Domaine du Grand Cellier.
You will have the choice between a real Mongolian yurt, a no less atypical barrel, or a perched hut!
A nod to the monks of the Tamié Abbey who stored their wine in this 18th-century agricultural farm, the barrel is a former "foudre" that came straight from Alsace. In service until 2009, it traded its 10,000 liters of wine for a charming and cozy setup for 2 people, with a Savoyard ambiance and small checkered patterns on the agenda!
The yurt at the edge of the forest was brought directly from Mongolia by one of the family's sons. Decorated in a typical fashion, it will take you on a journey to the Mongolian steppes for a night or two. Suitable for 2 people or a family, regardless of the season.
Until 2017, a third accommodation allowed guests to gain some height: the fir-tree tent, a very rare and unusual type of lodging, was imagined by an 8-year-old boy! After drawing it, he simply explained to his carpenter father that he could now build it. By the way, the shape of this fir-tree tent quickly reminds us of lollipops or ice creams! Unfortunately, this tent no longer exists, but since the summer of 2019, a perched hut has replaced it, allowing you to sleep for two among the fir trees.
Barrel, yurt, perched hut—now it's your turn to choose!
