Unusual night around Avignon
Presentation
Practical information
An eco-domain in the land of vineyards.
Strange cabins set on the shores of a lake welcome romantic couples and explorer families for an extraordinary weekend.
20 minutes north of the City of the Popes, the Lac de la Lionne was formed on the banks of the Rhône. On its waters float cabins. Others, between land and water, are nestled against the shores while the terrace is on stilts. Some are even carved directly into the mounds bordering the lake, with only the terrace exposed outdoors.
The glass and wood cabins blend into the green and ochre landscape surrounding the turquoise expanse of water. Through the large windows, nature seems to enter the cabin, leaving you unsure if you're indoors or outdoors. At dawn and sunset, the pink and glowing orange sky reflects on the lake's waters, giving it an otherworldly charm.
The terrace, sheltered from the full sun by a wooden awning, is perfect for your aperitifs. Tapenades and fougasses pair excellently with the refreshing rosés of Vaucluse. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape, purchased directly from the producer, beautifully complements a dessert made of Carpentras strawberries. Between the reeds and Provençal olive trees, cicadas sing, and life feels like a vacation.
Whether floating, elevated, or troglodyte, the 19 cabins can be enjoyed as a couple in the Cabanes Duo with or without Spa (Nordic bath) or shared with up to 5 people in the Cabanes Famille, just a few minutes from Avignon.
✯ In 2024, open from February 23 to November 24 ✯
