Unusual hotel in a former school
Presentation
Practical information
An upscale hotel school in a luxurious hotel in Amsterdam: accessible chic.
A 4-star hotel, ranked among the most luxurious in Amsterdam, is housed behind a typically school-like façade of a former high school from 1895, designated as a historic monument.
Quite fittingly, The College Hotel reflects this past and its current function as a hotel school.
Since May 2005, students have been forming the hotel's staff and working under the guidance of the Director of the establishment and the Chef. These 80 students do their best to learn and satisfy you; it is also thanks to their status that prices remain accessible for a hotel of this standard. The Roelof Hart Square is located in the fashion and museum district, just steps away from the Concertgebouw, the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Stedelijk Museum.
The decor is contemporary and warm, with black, gold, and orange tones complementing each other between black lacquered wood and brick walls.
The 40 rooms and suites in black, brown, and sand tones are spacious and elegant.
Magnificent high ceilings recall the building's past, the restaurant welcomes us in the former gymnasium until 10:00 p.m., and a large bar allows you to enjoy the general atmosphere appreciated in Amsterdam.
