On the benches of the former communal school

Practical information
Play hooky to stay on the school benches?
La Scuola is a small country school carefully restored on the Asiago plateau. For the schoolmistresses who taught there from 1920 to 1960, how surprising it would be to meet passing guests instead of their students!
Mistress's Room, Geography, History and Letters, Arithmetic, Sciences, each of the five rooms is furnished with antique objects - some original - highlighted by beautiful colors and materials, bright walls proudly displaying maps, blackboards, and even old children's satchels. You can tell that details matter, between books and flowers, the place soothes.
Visitors come to the Vicenza hills to relax under the cherry and lime trees and, between history and gastronomy, explore the art cities of Veneto. Marostica, Bassano del Grappa, Padua, Vicenza, Castelfranco.
Let's not forget Verona or Venice, which are only 1h30 away!
A little guided tour starting with the two communicating rooms of the Sciences room on the ground floor. Designed as a small studio, it allows for independent coming and going (3 pers). On the 1st floor, the large windows of the History and Literature room open onto the bell tower and the plain with the theme of the homeland and the First World War that marked this region. The unmissable Arithmetic is represented in the form of games; it is the school’s family room. Let's go up to the attic, under the roof where children once came to stack wood to feed the stove. Terracotta tiles on the floor, original flooring, and magnificent chestnut beams give incredible charm to the two rooms now housed there: the romantic Mistress's Room, where you can admire the plain from its bathtub or bed thanks to the typical small windows, and the Geography room with large colorful maps and globes to dream about faraway lands.
This is always how journeys begin!
