Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi

Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi

Incredible view of the Mediterranean

Presentation Practical information
A world apart, with church, cloister, lemon trees, and pool.

The stunning Amalfi is a promise of Dolce Vita. Clinging to the steep cliffs of this mountainous amphitheater, an ancient residence of Capuchin monks has preserved its spectacular facade, its cloister, and its chapel.

The monastery from the early 13th century - deconsecrated since 1885 - is today a 5* hotel perched eighty meters above sea level. It can be reached by following the path along the cliff or more simply with two elevators.
The monastic rooms have become suites with breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the center of Amalfi and its port, and its maze of lively alleys.
The sublime and long flowered terrace, once the monks' promenade, leads guests to the pool overlooking the bay. With the endless expanse of the deep blue sea, scents of lemon trees, and wisteria, it's our turn to take the time for contemplation.
