A hotel project for contemplatives
The wheel hotel imagined by the architects of the Parisian agency Scau brings a fresh breeze to the banks of the Seine, which are constantly evolving. Scau's proposal? To offer a different perspective on the city and its urban landscapes aboard the Wheel Hotel.
This wheel hotel will be half the size of the Concorde wheel, entirely clad in wood, and energy self-sufficient as it will rotate using the Seine's current. 30 minutes for a full rotation and 19 cylindrical capsules to host as many minimalist, silent rooms with round-shaped beds.
Temporary and mobile, the hotel is designed to move easily on its own barge before being reassembled facing one of the iconic viewpoints that dot the banks of Paris. But the idea can also be exported to the banks of other French or foreign cities.
