Under the sun of the medieval village of Pézenas, just a few streets away from its historic center, the former rehabilitated distillery has been brought back to life as a hotel.
From its industrial past, the aptly named 'Distillerie de Pézenas' has retained metal, raw wood, winemaking objects, and nods to the winegrowers’ trades, complemented by reds echoing the colors of Languedoc wines, from garnet reds to Bordeaux.
The 50 suites and apartments are arranged around the outdoor pool and its garden, the restaurant lined with lockers and bottles, and a Wine Bar where you can linger over a glass and some tapas. Not to mention the hotel spa, with a hammam, jacuzzi, indoor pool, and two massage rooms.
Between the beaches of the Mediterranean and the hinterland of Hérault, Pézenas and the Piscénois countryside can be explored in any season.
If you visit in spring, don’t miss the festivals Printival dedicated to Bobby Lapointe, the local star, and 'Molière dans tous ses éclats', where shows and entertainment enliven the historical sites frequented by Molière and his troupe.
