Boat guesthouse in Dunkirk harbor
Presentation
Guest room on the water in the port of Dunkirk.
'Dunkerque, port city beach by bike' for the tourist office. We would also add by boat!
Since Michel Lefevre has been renting his superb 14-meter sailboat, converted into a guest boat for a night or a weekend stay, you can fully immerse yourself in the port atmosphere in the Grand Large district. Onboard the Meguem (for MElanie, GUillaume, and EMilie, the owner's three children), two cabins welcome you with great comfort. Leather lounge, a kitchen area, benches, and a table on the deck for dining.
Since there's no need to wait for Dunkerque's major events to discover a bold and creative city, take the opportunity to visit the new Regional Contemporary Art Fund (Frac), housed in a former shipyard workshop.
If you don't know Dunkerque yet, a 10 km bike route (about 2 hours) prepared by the Tourist Office gives you a fairly comprehensive overview of the city and the richness of its heritage: from the Citadelle quays to the Risban and Saint-Pol lighthouses, via the FRAC, the LAAC, the sea dike, and the Excentric district in Rosendaël.
