Troglodyte mill in the Purple Périgord
Presentation
Practical information
A Neolithic habitat in the Périgord
Former 14th-century wheat mill, later a 19th-century industrial paper mill, the Moulin des Guillandoux now offers two troglodyte accommodations: the Loft and the Grotto.
The Loft, a small troglodyte house, accommodates 4 to 5 people.
At the center of the main room, 3 old paper presses will keep you company during meals.
The Grotto, already inhabited by humans in the Middle Ages, was used as a workshop for pressing and gluing paper. Today, it welcomes lovers in search of unique accommodation.
In the sunny days, you will enjoy the pleasant landscaped garden and won't forget to light up the barbecue for some friendly grilling in the shade of the trees.
15km from Bergerac, the village of Couze-et-Saint-Front is known for its old paper mills. By the late 19th century, up to thirteen water mills were involved in paper production.
