Sleeping in a lighthouse in Wales
Presentation
Practical information
One of the most unusual places to stay in Wales
Llandudno is a very ancient town in the north of Wales, dominated by the Dinas Brân Castle, one of those Welsh places closely associated with King Arthur and the legends of the Grail.
Its lighthouse is perched on steep cliffs above the Irish Sea. Built in 1862 with Canadian pine and limestone, it served as a navigational point for sailors until its conversion in 1985.
Since then, this hotel welcomes you in one of its three rooms and serves breakfast in the sumptuous Victorian dining room overlooking the cliff.
The Telegraph Suite offers the fun experience of accessing the lighthouse roof via the original ladder (with a guided visit).
At 100 meters above the sea, the view is breathtaking, a true wonder.
✯ Open all year round (except Christmas and New Year) ✯
