Sleeping in a lighthouse in Wales
Presentation
Practical information
Two hours from London, a romantic haven of peace.
In Wales, between Newport and Cardiff, the West Usk Lighthouse stands at the mouth of the Severn and Usk rivers estuary.
Built in 1821 by a Scottish architect, this lighthouse has the particularity of being low and wide. It served its purpose until 1922, then was abandoned for a few decades.
Transformed into a charming and comfortable Bed & Breakfast, it is now experiencing a second youth.
